Dental Medical Automation, Inc. (later DMA Tech Solutions) was founded in 1987 by Jeff Suglio. After earning his electrical engineering degree, Jeff was asked by his brother, a dentist, to help incorporate the first computerized records systems into his dental practice. Thus, DMA was born, originally operating out of Jeff’s basement with the earliest employees. At that time, most dental practices relied on paper charts and appointment books, but a technological revolution was on the horizon.
Through word of mouth and repeated successful implementations, Jeff grew DMA one dental office at a time. DMA became the leading distributor of one of the original practice management platforms in the country, earning a reputation for excellent service and integrity. The company eventually expanded its offerings to include practice management training, digital imaging, and comprehensive dental IT services.
In 2016, Jeff’s son, Sam, joined the organization, bringing a fresh perspective and a focus on process improvement. Sam took over for Jeff in 2021, continuing his father’s legacy and commitment to the dental industry.
